Welcome to the BGMA Book Club: Uniting Through the Power of Words

At BGMA, we believe in the transformative power of stories. They have the ability to transport us, enlighten us, and most importantly, connect us. That’s why we’ve created the BGMA Book Club—a gathering space for members to explore books that inspire personal and professional growth, and address the unique pain points and experiences of Black Women.

Why We Created the Book Club

The BGMA Book Club was born from a desire to deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Books are a window to new perspectives, offering invaluable insights into different aspects of life, from overcoming adversity to celebrating triumphs. They also serve as a mirror, reflecting our own experiences and challenges back at us, often providing comfort and guidance when we need it most.

Our goal is to foster a community of avid readers and lifelong learners, united by our shared love for literature. By selecting books that speak to personal growth, professional development, and the broader experiences of Black Women, we aim to spark meaningful conversations, create a sense of solidarity, and empower our members to navigate the complexities of life with wisdom and resilience.

Our Monthly Meetings

The BGMA Book Club meets monthly to discuss our latest read. These meetings are an opportunity to dive deep into the themes, characters, and narratives of each book, exploring how they relate to our own lives and the broader societal issues we face. It’s a time for open, honest conversation—a chance to share insights, ask questions, and gain new perspectives from fellow members.

Meetings are currently held virtually, ensuring that everyone can participate, no matter where they are. Each session is guided by thoughtful discussion questions, designed to facilitate meaningful dialogue and personal reflections.

Join Us
